Cornwall Dog Rescue - Rescue and rehoming small dogs

About Cornwall Dog Rescue

Cornwall Dog Rescue take in small and medium sized dogs that are either unwanted, mistreated, neglected or at risk of unnecessary euthanasia.  Cornwall Dog Rescue rehomes dogs and is not an animal sanctuary.  We take in dogs from members of the local community and other organisations that need help - subject to space constraints.  We have a no kill policy.

Welfare of dogs is paramount at all times and for this reason all of our dogs are kept in a home setting rather in kennels.  This helps dogs going to new homes to already be used to going out for toilet time etc., and makes them more familiar with home noises, smells and surroundings.  Some of the dogs we take in have not had the best start to life and we prefer, where possible, to try and socialise and desensitise with a wide variety of experiences.

Our long term aim is to move to larger premises that will enable us to provide more of our serves and educate, promote and teach responsible dog care and training courses to young and old alike.

We presently receive no funding whatsoever, we have no paid staff and until forming Cornwall Dog Rescue have paid for everything ourselves.

Now registered with a charity bank account, we absolutely welcome any donations to help us to grow and offer additional services.  Just £1 a week from three hundred people will help us to save one dog!

The love and care of dogs by Owners in Cornwall is in the main outstanding.  Everywhere you go there are dogs happily walking with their Owners.  For those that are not so lucky and have fallen upon sad times, we hope that the people of Cornwall will help us to help them.
